I missed the party with this one
15 April 2018 | by See all my reviews

There is a period in one's life when they just have to see a dumb slasher with lots of upper body nudity. I mean, if your evening is already ruined, and you feel vengeful, what are your options? Verbally abuse wife, yell at the kids, or get a beer and watch random people on a bus getting killed by whatever it's written in the synopsis would kill them?

So, I took option two. I'm not saying people didn't get killed in the movie. I'm just saying the killings were terribly unsatisfying. First, it was the demographics. They choose party goers who came to Vegas to waste money and have fun. Very politically correct. None of my hated categories of people were among those.

Then, the special effects were awful. Or awesome if you think they used cardboard to fake human entrails. The better use for the cardboard was to replace some of the actors. Than it wouldn't feel like this was the only work they could get after years of unemployment. But, then again, when you write scripts like this one, you shouldn't complain about the actors.

There is no hope for the movie. The only thing I liked was a scene with Sadie Katz -- the bus driver. There is hope for that girl. She really didn't belong in this kind of movie. I give her the only star I have. Maybe she'll get lucky and get into an A-list horror.
